Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Namaste Parent is an AI-powered family-care product developed and operated by X-CUTION LABS, based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Namaste Parent ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard data when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

  • Account information: Your name and WhatsApp phone number.
  • Parent profiles: Name, phone number, language preference, and emergency contact details of registered parents.

2b. Information Generated by the Service

  • Call data: Duration, timestamp, and call status of each automated check-in.
  • Audio recordings: Full audio recordings of the check-in calls. Audio recording is enabled by default, but users can opt-out of recording during the call by stating so. Audio recordings may be available in the dashboard when consent permits. A parent may explicitly refuse recording during a call, which leads to no recording URL being stored and best-effort deletion from Piopiy/TeleCMI.
  • AI-structured check-in summaries: Mood, self-reported medication status, and general wellbeing notes extracted from call transcripts.
  • WhatsApp delivery logs: Delivery confirmation metadata from our messaging provider.
  • OTP Metadata and Trial-Abuse Ledger: Verification status, OTP state, expiry/failure counters, and verified phone history.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To conduct scheduled AI family check-ins with registered parents.
  • To generate and deliver structured WhatsApp check-in summaries to your registered WhatsApp number.
  • To improve service reliability, conversational workflows, and the accuracy of structured check-in extraction. We do not use customer data to train our own foundation models.
  • To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
  • To process subscription billing via Razorpay.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure. We use Supabase for our database and implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Call transcripts, summaries, and recording URL references are retained in Supabase. Audio recordings are stored by Piopiy/TeleCMI and deleted on a best-effort basis if explicitly refused during a call.

We do not store payment card details. All transactions are processed by Razorpay, our billing and subscription processor, in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure providers: Supabase, Piopiy/TeleCMI (calling), Message Central (SMS OTP delivery), and Meta (WhatsApp) for service delivery.
  • AI processing: Google/Gemini may process call audio, transcripts, parent names, child names, and relevant conversational context needed to provide AI conversations, structured extraction, summarization, and rolling-memory condensation under the applicable provider terms and data-processing commitments.
  • Billing processing: Razorpay for subscription management.
  • Legal compliance: Where required by Indian law or regulatory authority.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data. (Account rows are deactivated or soft-deleted as required for legal/billing purposes; downstream provider retention is subject to their own processing timelines).
  • Withdraw consent for AI calls at any time by pausing or deleting a parent profile.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
